Berdene Leona was born on April 9th, 1929 in Colfax Township, Grundy County, Iowa. Berdene Leona's father was Albert John Kruger and her mother was Talena Anna Wolthoff. Her paternal grandparents were Klaas C. Kruger and Berenedena Groenhagen; her maternal grandparents were Ontje Wolthoff and Margaraetha Koch. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Klaus Vernon, Orlen Albert, Anona Margaret and Living. She died at the age of 71 on September 22nd, 2000 in Waterloo, Iowa. She was buried on September 26th, 2000 in Colfax Center Presbyterian Church cemetery, Holland, IA.-
