Saher II was born about 1125 in Long Buckby, Northamptonshire, England. Saher II's father was Saher I De Quincey and his mother was Maud De Saint Liz. His maternal grandparents were Simon de St. Liz and Matilda Maud De Huntington. He had two brothers and a sister, named Robert, Roger and Lorette. He was the second oldest of the four children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Walter Fitzrobert and Maud Fitz.-
