Enguerrand VI De Guines was born about 1290 in Guines, Pas-De-Calais, France.  Enguerrand VI De Guines' father was Enguerrand V De Guines Coucy and his mother was Catherine De Lindsay.  His paternal grandparents were Arnoul III De Guines and Alix De Coucy; his maternal grandparents were William De Lindsay and Ada De Baliol. He had four brothers named Guillaume De Guines, Baudouin De Guines, Robert De Guines and Arnoul IV De Guines.  He was the second oldest of the five children.  He died in 1344.
