Lebish Meade was born on March 3rd, 1887 in Crawford County,Indiana. Lebish Meade's father was Winfield Scott Sloan and his mother was Mary Ann Bennett. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Neal Sloan and Mary Ann Sands Douthit. He had six brothers and seven sisters, named Cyprian Neal, Charles Haden, Willis Edward, Lelonza Erastis(Rassie), Leroy Bert, Chester Raymond, Anna Belle, Stella, Eva Ellen, Winnie, Julia, Bessie and Lettie. He was the sixth youngest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 79 on February 24th, 1967 in Jeffersonville,Clark County,Indiana. He was buried on February 28th, 1967 in Louisville,Jefferson County,Kentucky.-
