Chester Raymond was born on February 2nd, 1899 in Crawford County,Indiana. Chester Raymond's father was Winfield Scott Sloan and his mother was Mary Ann Bennett. His paternal grandparents were Benjamin Neal Sloan and Mary Ann Sands Douthit. He had six brothers and seven sisters, named Cyprian Neal, Charles Haden, Willis Edward, Lebish Meade, Lelonza Erastis(Rassie), Leroy Bert, Anna Belle, Stella, Eva Ellen, Winnie, Julia, Bessie and Lettie. He was the youngest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 78 in 1977 in Miami,Florida.-
