Matilda was born in 1644 in Accomac County,Virginia. Matilda's father was Col. Edmund Scarborough and her mother was Mary Littleton. Her paternal grandparents were Edmund Scarborough and Hannah Butler; her maternal grandparents were Sir Edward , Knt. Littleton and Mary Walter de Ludlow. She had four brothers and a sister, named Col., Littleton, Col. Edmund, Henry and Tabitha. She died in Virginia.-
