William Pruett 
William was born in 1762 in Halifax,VA. William's father was Thomas (Jr) Pruett and his mother was Mrs. Sarah Jr. Pruett. His paternal grandparents were Thomas (Sr) Pruett and Mary Magdalene Chastain. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Alexander, Samuel Pruett (poss, Dainel, Sarah Pruett (poss and Rosanna. He was the second oldest of the six children. He died at the age of 87 in August 1849 in Meigs Co,TN.-
