Sarah Kerns 
Sarah was born on September 27th, 1781. Sarah's father was Peter Kerns and her mother was Anna Jordon. She had four sisters named Marjorie, Martha (Patsy), Mary (Polly) and Nellie. She had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Joseph, Peter B., Lucy and Cassandra. She died at the age of 40 on July 8th, 1822 in Orange County,Indiana.
Sarah and Benjamin were married in a religious ceremony on January 1st, 1801 in Shelby County,KY bond 30-12-1800 & bible. They had seven sons and four daughters, named Lewis, Peter, David, James Walter, John, Benjamin, Aaron, Martha, Anna, Sarah and Elizabeth Jane.

David was born on August 15th, 1807. He died at the age of 17 on May 30th, 1825 in Orange County,IN.
James Walter VanCleave
James Walter was born on April 2nd, 1809. He died at the age of 83 on April 5th, 1892.
Anna VanCleave
Anna was born on February 22nd, 1814. She died at the age of 33 in 1847 in Clay County,IN.
Benjamin VanCleave
Benjamin was born on October 27th, 1816. He died at the age of 36 on January 4th, 1853.
Elizabeth Jane VanCleave
Elizabeth Jane was born on July 3rd, 1820. She died at the age of 72 on November 27th, 1892. She was buried in Oak Hill Cemetary near Riley,Indiana.
