Isom's father was Isam Hunt and his mother was Margaret Bundy. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Hunt and Ann Mary Beals. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Nathan, Jesse, Nancy Ann, Margaret, Mary, Elvirah and Huldah B.. He had a half-sister named Rachel.General Notes
