John Woolman 
John was born on July 27th, 1655 in Painswick,Gloucester,England. John's father was William Woolman and his mother was <Living>. He was an only child. He died at the age of 62 on April 27th, 1718 in Northampton Twp,Burlington Co. New Jersey.General Notes
John Woolman, an "English Gentlwman" son of William Woolman of Gloucestor-
shire, England, hearing reports of Fenwick Colonizers in New Jersey came over
in 1678 and settled upon 8000 acres of land extending from the Burlington
River southward to the North branch of the Rancocas, in Northampton Twp. His
father arrived soon after and died there. The site of their home was chosen
with excellent judgement. Built of brick places John among the well-to-do.
John died at age 63 and his wife shortly after age 55.
John and Elizabeth were married in a religious ceremony on August 16th, 1684 in Burlington County,New Jersey. They had a son and five daughters, named Samuel, Ann, Hester or Esther, Elizabeth, Mary and Hannah.
