John M. Glymph was born in 1836 in s CSA Soldier.1 John M. Glymph's father was Lemuel Glymph and his mother was Sarah Kinard. His paternal grandparents were John Planter Glymph and Elizabeth Rikard; his maternal grandparents were Martin Kinard, Jr. and Katherine Kuhn. He had three brothers and six sisters, named Flavius Josephus, Lemuel Pickney, Walker Milton Henry (Twin), Catherine Elizabeth "Betsy", Martha "Patsy", Sarah D. "Sallie", May Elizabeth, "Emily" Elvira (Twin) and Elenor "Alice" M.. He was the fourth oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 48 on December 11th, 1884.1 -
