Mahala Ferguson 
Mahala was born on September 13th, 1835 in Pike County,Indiana. Mahala's father was Peter Ferguson and her mother was Margaret Ann Addison Burton Twiford. Her paternal grandparents were John Ferguson and Susan Ashby; her maternal grandparents were James Twiford and Margaret Addison. She had seven brothers and a sister, named James Silas, John, Thomas, Jackson, Joseph, Levi, Henry and Mary. She was the fourth youngest of the nine children. She died at the age of 62 on December 18th, 1897. She was buried in Spurgeon Cemetary,Spurgeon,Pike Co. IN.-
