Marie-Ursule was born on May 6th, 1662 in Trois Rivières, Québec.1   Marie-Ursule's father was Guillaume Dit Tranchemontagne Pepin and her mother was Jeanne Mechin.  Her paternal grandparents were Pierre Dit Pépin Lafond and Françoise Prieur; her maternal grandparents were Jean Mechin and Suzanne Larose. She had seven brothers and five sisters, named Jacques, Jean, Guillaume, Pierre Dit Laforce, Etienne, Joseph, Louis, Marie, Jeanne, Madeline, Elizabeth and Marguerite.  She was the youngest of the thirteen children.1

‌Marie-Ursule and Louis were married in a religious ceremony on November 30th, 1680 in N.-D. DE La Visitation, Champlain, Qué.1   They had four sons and a daughter, named Antoine, Louis, Michel, Guillaume Dit Beauchemin and Marie Ursule.
