Francois was born on February 17th, 1678 in La Prairie, Quebec.  Francois' father was Pierre Lefebvre and his mother was Marie Marguerite Gagne.  His paternal grandparents were Robert Lefebvre and Jeanne Autin; his maternal grandparents were Pierre Gagne and Marguerite Rosee. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Joseph Francois, Pierre, Laurent, Joseph Laurent, Gabriel, Marguerite, Marie, Anne and Suzanne.  He was the third oldest of the ten children. He had a half-brother named Pierre.  He died about August 8th, 1727 in La Prairie, Quebec.

‌Francois and Marie were married in a religious ceremony on November 13th, 1712 in La Prairie, Quebec, Canada.  They had three sons named Antoine, Antoine Francois and Jean.

‌Francois and Louise were married in a religious ceremony on January 17th, 1717 in La Prairie, Quebec, Canada.  They had two sons and two daughters, named Francois, Louis, Anne Catherine and Marie Louise.
