Isabella was born in 1188 in ANgouleme, Charente.1   Isabella's father was Count Aymer Taillefer and her mother was Countess Alix de Courtenay.  Her paternal grandparents were Count Guillaume de Taillefer and Countess Margaret Turenne; her maternal grandparents were Prince Pierre France and Isabelle Elizabeth de Courtenay.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 58 on May 31st, 1246 in Fontevrault l'ab, Maine et Loire, France.  She was buried in Fontevrault Abbe, Fontevrault, Maine-et-Loire, France.1 


Isabella's first family with King John I Plantagenet ("Lackland") England

‌Isabella and "Lackland" were married in a religious ceremony on August 29th, 1189 in Marlbough, Salisbury, Wiltshire, England.2   They had two sons and a daughter, named King Of England Henry III, Richard Plantagenet and Eleanor.


Isabella's second family with Count Hugh X de Lusignan

‌Isabella and Hugh X were married in a religious ceremony in 1220.  They had a son and three daughters, named Hugh Lusignan Xi Count of Marche &, Maud, Alice and Alice.
