Jean Manuel's father was Edward I of Portugal King and his mother was Jeanne Manuel deLa Cerda Princess. His paternal grandparents were John I of Portugal King and Phillipa of England Queen; his maternal grandparents were Alfonso V of Aragon And Sicily King and Maria of Castile And Leon. He was an only child. He died on May 3rd, 1490.-
