Joan Mortimer

Joan was born about 1293 in Of Wigmore, Herefordshire, England. Joan's father was Edmund Mortimer and her mother was Margaret Fiennes. Her paternal grandparents were Roger Mortimer and Maud Braose. She had five brothers and five sisters, named Roger IV, Hugh, Walter, Edmund, John, Isolde, Matilda, Maud, Margaret and Elizabeth. She was the sixth oldest of the eleven children.
