His paternal grandparents were Giselbert Count Of The Moselle (Maasgau) and Ermengarde(Irmgard) Duchess Of the Moselle (Maasgau). He had three half-brothers named Gilbert Duke Of, Rainer II Count Of and Rainer II Count Of. He died in 0939.General Notes
