Roger Giffard 
Roger was born about 1490 in Brightley, Devonshire, England. Roger's father was Thomas Giffard and his mother was Anne Coryton. His paternal grandparents were John Giffard and Joan Dabernon; his maternal grandfather was John Coryton. He was an only child. He died on May 1st, 1547.General Notes
A monument honoring him was erected in 1625 in what is now the Giffard Chapel of St. Hieritha's Church, Chittlehampton, Somerset, England.
