Osbern was born about 1030 in Brimsfield, Glou, England.. Osbern's father was Osberne I of Bolebec and his mother was Aveline of Crepon. His paternal grandparents were Geoffroi of Bolebec and Beatrix; his maternal grandfather was Herfast of Crepon. He had two brothers named Geoffroi of Bolebec and "The Elder". He was the youngest of the three children. He died about 1086.General Notes
