Edith was born about 1072 in Greystoke, Cumberland, England.  Edith's father was Forne FitzSigulf 1st Lord of Greystoke , A Thane.  Her paternal grandfather was Sigulf FitzForn.  She was an only child.  She died in 1152 in Granted Barony of Claydon by Henry I.  She was buried in Endowed Oseney Abbey.
