Aedgifu (or Edgiva) was born in 0896.  Aedgifu (or Edgiva)'s father was Edward I "The Elder" (King) and her mother was Elfrida (or Elfleda) (or Aelflaed) of Wiltshire (Queen). She had seven sisters named Ethile (Eadhilde), Ethile (Eadhilde), Ethile (Eadhilde), Editha, Elgiva, Elgiva and Elgiva.  She was the oldest of the eight children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Edmund I The Magnificent and Eadgifu.  She died after 0955.

‌Aedgifu (or Edgiva) and Charles III "The Simple" were married in a religious ceremony in 0919 in ,,,France.  They had a son named Louis IV, d'Outre-Mer.
