Margaret ATHELING (St.) the Exile 
Margaret was born in 1045 in Hungary.1 Margaret's father was Prince Edward ATHELING the OUTLAW and her mother was Agatha. Her maternal grandfather was Agusburgh B. Germany. She was an only child. She died at the age of 48 on November 16th, 1093 in Edinburgh Castle, Scotland.1 General Notes
Daughter of Anglo-Saxon prince Edward Atheling.
Canonised 1250 and her feast day is 16th November. In 1057 shearrived at the English court of Edward the Confessor. Ten years latershe was in exile after William defeated Harold at the Battle ofHastings. She fled to Scotland where she was married against herwishes to King Malcolm to whom she bore six sons and two daughters.Her unlearned and boorish husband grew daily more gracefulandChristian under the queen's graceful influence. Her remains wereremoved to Escorial Spain and her head to Douai, France.
‌Margaret and Malcolm III (MacDuncan) were married in a religious ceremony in 1068 in Dunfermline Abbey, Fife, Scotland.1 They had a daughter named Matilda (Edith).
