Matilda (Edith) was born in 1080 in Dunfermline.1   Matilda (Edith)'s father was Malcolm III (MacDuncan) CAENNMOR KING OF SCOTLAND and her mother was Margaret ATHELING (St.) the Exile.  Her paternal grandparents were Duncan I CAENNMOR the Gracious of Scotland and Aelflaed (Sybil) OF NORTHUMBRIA; her maternal grandparents were Prince Edward ATHELING the OUTLAW and Agatha.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 38 on May 1st, 1118 in Westminster Palace, London, Eng..1
