Robert , "the Peacock of the North" was born in 1287 in Raby,Durham,England.1 Robert , "the Peacock of the North"'s father was Ranulph , Baron Neville of Raby de Neville and his mother was Euphemia FitzRoger de Clavering. His paternal grandparents were Robert II, Baron Neville of Raby de Neville and Mary FitzRandolph de Middleham; his maternal grandparents were Robert , Baron Clavering FitzRoger and Margaret Mary la Zouche. He had five brothers and seven sisters, named Ralph , Baron Neville of Raby, Alexander, Thomas, John, William, Ida, Euphemia, Anastase, Mary, Joane, Margaret and Alice. He was the oldest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 31 in 1318.1 General Notes
