Thomas de's father was Bernard IV de St. Valery and his mother was Annora de St. John. His paternal grandfather was Reginald II de St. Valery. He had three brothers named Bernard de, Henry de and Reginald de. He had a half-sister named Maud (or St. Walerie) de. He died in 1218.General Notes
