Edmund , Earl of Rutland was born on May 27th, 1443 in Rouen,Seine-Maritime,France.1 Edmund , Earl of Rutland's father was Richard , 3rd Duke of York, K.G. Plantagenet and his mother was Cicely Neville. His paternal grandparents were Richard Plantagenet and Anne de Mortimer; his maternal grandparents were Sir Ralph , K.G., 1st Earl of Westmor de Neville and Joan De Beaufort. He had seven brothers and five sisters, named Edward IV , King of England, William, John, George , Duke of Clarence, Thomas, Richard III , King of England, Henry, Joan, Anne, Elizabeth, Margaret and Ursula. He died at the age of 17 on December 31st, 1460 in Battle of Wakefield,Yorkshire,England.2 General Notes
Edmund, said to have borne the title of Earl of Rutland. This prince at the age of twelve was barbarously murdered by Lord Clifford after the battle of Wakefield.
