Roger "The Poitevin" was born about 1052 in La Marche,Normandy,,France.  Roger "The Poitevin"'s father was Roger de Montgomery and his mother was Mabel d' Talvas.  His paternal grandparents were Roger de Montgomery and Josceline de Pont-audemer; his maternal grandparents were William D'Alencon of Talvas and Hildeburge de Beaumont. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Robert II de, Hugues de, Phillip, Arnulph de, Robert, Robert, Maude De, Emma, Mabel and Sybil. He had a half-sister named Ponce.  He died about 1123 in Dy Sp.
