His paternal grandparents were Hugo III of Nordgau and Hildegard de Ferette; his maternal grandparents were Wigerich von Aachen and Kunigonde de France. He had four brothers and a sister, named Gerhard Von Egisheim de, Hugo V Count of, Adalbert II De, Hugues III and Hedwig von. He had a half-brother named Matfried. He died in 0944.General Notes
