Adelaide (Adelheid) was born about 0824 in Tours,Indre-Et-Loire,France.  Adelaide (Adelheid)'s father was Louis I "The Pious" France and her mother was Ermengarde de Hesbaye.  Her paternal grandparents were Charlemagne Emperor of Holy Roman Empire and Hildegarde de Swabia Condesa de Vinzgau; her maternal grandparents were Ingeramne, of Hesbaye and Duchess of Hesbaye. She had four brothers and six sisters, named Lothaire I of, Pepin I, Louis II The German of, Wulgrim , de Angouleme, Hildegarde, Miss Princess of, Rotrud de, Rotrud Matilda Hildegard, princess of, Alpaide Princess of and Ermengarde Princess of. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Charles II "The Bald" King of and Giselle Princess of.  She died in 0866.
