His paternal grandparents were Hring Raumsson and Miss Vifilsdatter; his maternal grandfather was Eymund King of Holmgard. He had eight brothers named Skelfi, Audi, Bragi, Siggari, Lofdi, Nefli, Hildi and Budi. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children.General Notes
