William Giffard

William was born about 1038 in Longueville,Normandy,France. William's father was Walter "The Elder" , Lord Giffard and his mother was Agnes Flaitel. His paternal grandfather was Osbern I de Bolbec; his maternal grandparents were Girard Fleitel and Herleva D' Evreux. He had three brothers and five sisters, named Walter, Hugh, Walter, Rohese, Adelaide Giffard, Adelaide, Isabella Constance Catherine and Lora. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children.
