Gyda (Haraldsdatter) Princess of was born about 1053 in London,Middlesex,England.  Gyda (Haraldsdatter) Princess of's father was Harold II (Godwinsson) King of England and her mother was Ealdgyth of Mercia.  Her paternal grandparents were Godwine Earl Of Wessex and Gytha Thorgilsson; her maternal grandparents were Alfgar III Earl of Mercia and AElfgifu (Elgiva) of England. She had two brothers and a sister, named Edmund Prince of, Magnus Prince of and Gunhild Princess of.  She was the youngest of the four children. She had five half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Godwine (Haroldsson) Prince of, Edmund (Haraldsson) Prince of, Magnus (Haraldsson) Prince of, Maredudd ap, Idwal ap, Gunhild (Haraldsdatter) Princess of and Nesta Verch.  She died on May 1st, 1107.
