Princess Mechtild of Diez 
Princess Mechtild of was born in 1138. Princess Mechtild of's father was Embricho II von Dietz and her mother was Demundis of Laurenburg. Her paternal grandfather was Count Heinrich I of Diez; her maternal grandparents were Dudo Count of Laurenburg and Irmgard (Demudis) of Arnstein. She had three brothers and a sister, named Eberhard I Count of, Count Heinrich II of, Eberhard I Count of and Princess Gertrud of. She was the second oldest of the five children. She died at the age of 43 in 1181.-
