William De Mandeville 
William was born in 1186. William's father was Geoffrey FitzPiers De Mandeville and his mother was Beatrix de Say. His paternal grandparents were Piers , Earl of Essex de Lutegareshale and Maud , Baroness Buckland de Mandeville; his maternal grandparents were William II de Say and Aufrica of Huntingdon. He had a brother and three sisters, named John, Maud , Countess of Essex, Maud FitzGeoffrery and Saveric. He was the third oldest of the five children. He had a half-sister named Hawise.General Notes
