Emmaline was born on August 20th, 1850 in Selma, Dallas Co., AL.1 Emmaline's father was Willoughby Eugene Todd and her mother was Eliza Elizabeth Bogan. Her paternal grandparents were Josiah Todd and Nancy Asbill. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Robert, Thos A. Jefferson, Caroline Elizabeth, Penelopy Frances, Amelia Ann, Cassandra Ann and Mary Ann. She had two half-brothers named Lewis Jefferson and John F.. She died at the age of 45 on August 20th, 1895 in San Gabriel, Milam Co., TX. She was buried in Chappell Hill Cemetery, north of Gardner, TX.1 1 
Emmaline and Bryant Eugene were married in a religious ceremony on May 10th, 1866 in Collirene, Lowndes Co., AL.1 They had six sons and two daughters, named Willoughby Eugene, George Wesley, James Raby, John Ernest, Robert Lee, Chester Dee, Amelia Ann and Anna Lou.
