Janet Clara was born on October 27th, 1937 in Montgomery, Montgomery Co., AL.1 Janet Clara's father was Theo Braxton Spradley and her mother was Mattie Mae Ozment. Her paternal grandparents were Bryant Augustus Spradley and Beulah J. Welch; her maternal grandparents were Columbus Earl, Sr. Ozment and Clara Bell Brown. She had a brother named Living. She died at the age of 12 on December 19th, 1949 in AL. She was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Montgomery, Montgomery Co., AL.1 1 General Notes

Janet died at the age 12 from a cerebral hemorrage and in route to
Birmingham in an ambulance.
By my mother, Mary Earl BARNES Newberry; "After the death of Janet, her
mother Mattie Mae Ozment was never really the same."; My mother added,
"For years after Janet's death, almost every time I came to the cemetery
to tend to our plot, Mattie would be sitting on the bench at their plot
