Jean's father was Laurent SURPRENANT and his mother was Jeanne BEAUVAIS.  His paternal grandparents were Jacques dit Sansoucy SURPRENANT and Jeanne DENOTE; his maternal grandparents were Raphael BEAUVAIS and Elizabeth TURPIN.
