Rosannah Rushing 
Rosannah was born about 1806 in Beaufort District, St. Peters Parish, SC.1 Rosannah's father was Mathew Malachi Rushing and her mother was Elizabeth Thornhill. She had four brothers and a sister, named Mathew, Malachi, Arthur, William Cain and Temperance. She was the second youngest of the six children. She died in December 1868 in Union Parish, La. She was buried in Liberty Cemetery, Union Parish, LA. Located 1 and 1/2 miles south of Linville, LA..1 1 
‌Rosannah and Jesse, Sr. were married in a religious ceremony on January 30th, 1831 in Montgomery Co., AL.1 They had eleven sons and four daughters, named Levi Thomas, Matthew E., Abraham Cook, John Pleasant, Solomon R., Eli, Jesse William, Jr., George E., Samuel W., Lewis Jackson, Francis Marion, Phebe E., Rosannah, Emeliza and Jane.
