Francis Jack Rushing 
Francis Jack was born on February 27th, 1873 in Pike Co., AL.1 Francis Jack's father was John Eager Howard Rushing and his mother was Eliza Jane Jenerett. His paternal grandparents were William Cain Rushing and Mary Ann Rushing; his maternal grandparents were Elias G. Jenerett and Ann Eliza Thomas. He had four brothers and five sisters, named William E., Joseph Johnston, Robert E. Lee, James D., Francis Adeline, Mary, Ida Lizzie, Hortense and Lottie. He was the fourth youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 86 on February 13th, 1960 in Pike Co., AL. He was buried in Goodhope Church Cemetery, Pike Co., AL.1 1 General Notes

"Rites Held For Jack Rushing
Jack Rushing, age 86, died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Purser Powell
Saturday morning. Survivors include one sister, Mrs. John Redmond, Troy;
several nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Funeral service were held Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. at the Good
Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Joe Youngblood and the Rev. I. N.
Mathews officiating. Burial was in the Good Hope Cemetery with McGehee
Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were John Dallas Howard, Fred Howard,
Devon Pippin, J. E. Green, Frank Tillery, and John H, Lott." Troy
