George Petty

George was born in 1723 in Richmond Co., Virginia. George's father was Thomas* Petty and his mother was Catherine* Garton. His paternal grandparents were Hubert* Patey and UNKNOWN Rebecca*; his maternal grandparents were John* Garton and UNKNOWN Martha*. He had four brothers and four sisters, named John, Jr Petty, William, James, Rebecca*, Christopher, Mary and Martha. He was the youngest of the nine children.
