Christopher was born in 1708 in North Farnham Parish, Richmond Co., Virginia. Christopher's father was Thomas* Petty and her mother was Catherine* Garton. Her paternal grandparents were Hubert* Patey and UNKNOWN Rebecca*; her maternal grandparents were John* Garton and UNKNOWN Martha*. She had five brothers and three sisters, named John, Jr Petty, William, James, George, Rebecca*, Mary and Martha. She was the fourth oldest of the nine children.-
