Charles Wesley, Sr. was born on March 30th, 1896 in Coosa Co., AL.1 Charles Wesley, Sr.'s father was John Kirkham McEwen and his mother was Catherine Dandridge Walker. His paternal grandparents were George Washington McEwen and Mary Catherine Sears. He had two brothers and three sisters, named John Walker, George, Archie D., Mollie Cleveland and Kate. He was the youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 61 on March 9th, 1958 in Coosa Co., AL. "Local and Personal
Misses Robbie and Willie Waldrip, George W. Miller, Cleon Waldrip and
Charlie McEwen attended a concert at Hanover last Friday night. The girls
remained with their Uncle J. R. Waldrip, until Sunday evening." (1)

elected mayor, H. W. King, L. B. Pond, W. F. Robinson, J. W. Waldrip and
