WILLIAM (Sir) was born in 1483 in Pen-Coed, Llanfarthin, Monmouthshire, England.1 WILLIAM (Sir)'s father was THOMAS (Sir) ap MORGAN and his mother was JANE HERBERT. His paternal grandparents were MORGAN ap JENKIN MORGAN and ELIZABETH VAUGHAN; his maternal grandparents were JOHN (William) HERBERT and N.N. verch LEWIS. He had seven brothers and seven sisters, named John, Henry, Philip, Thomas, George, Morgan, Harry, Margaret, Mawd (Maud), Elizabeth, Joan (Jane), N.N., Catrin and N.N.. He was the seventh oldest of the fifteen children. He died at the age of 59 on October 25th, 1542.1 -
