Robert was born in Coosa Co., AL.1 Robert's father was William Stephen Darden and his mother was Sarah Mitchell Carlisle. His paternal grandparents were Uriah Addison Darden and Mary Logan; his maternal grandparents were John Bunyan Carlisle and Nancy Craddock. returning from the army he has been devoting most of his time to his
