James C. was born about 1839 in TN.1 James C.'s father was Thomas Jefferson Castellaw and his mother was Nancy Mary Johnson. His paternal grandparents were John Castellaw and Margaret Dawson; his maternal grandfather was C. R. Johnson. He had five brothers and a sister, named John, Joseph, Thomas, George, Jeremiah and Charlotte. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children. He died in ?.1 -
