Maud de was born about 1350 in Rotherfield Greys Castle, Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, England.  Maud de's father was John 1st Baron de Grey , of Rotherfield, KG and her mother was Avice Marmion.  Her paternal grandparents were John de Grey , of Rotherfield, MP, Sir and Margaret de Odingsells; her maternal grandparents were John 2nd Baron Marmion , of Tanfield, Sir and Maud de Furnival. She had a brother named Robert de.  She was the younger of the two children. She had a half-brother named John 2nd Baron de.  She died in Stanton Harcourt, Oxfordshire, England.
