Philip was born in 1184 in Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England. Philip's father was Alan Basset Lord Of Wycombe and his mother was Aline De Aline De Grey. His paternal grandparents were Of Headington Thomas Basset Of Headington and Adeliza (Alice) De Dunstanville; his maternal grandparents were Philip Fitzrobert Lord De Philip De Grey and Sedzilia De Berkeley. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Gilbert, Fulk, William, Thomas, Hawise, Aline, Alice and Katherine. He was the third oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 88 on October 29th, 1272 in Stanley, Wiltshire, England. He was buried in Stanley, Wiltshire, England.General Notes
