Ora E. was born in 1881. Ora E.'s father was Levi N. McVey and his mother was Sarah Elizabeth Shields. His maternal grandparents were James Madison Shields and Martha J. Sciscoe. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Tella O., Grover Cleveland, Luda Ellen and Hulda Isabelle. He was the third oldest of the five children.-
