Oliver Perry was born about 1856. Oliver Perry's father was Lewis Linnville and his mother was Sarah Zike. His maternal grandparents were David Zike and Catherine Smith. He had six brothers and two sisters, named James M., Jasper N., Lorenzo Dow, Lewis F., George, John W., Nancy Ann and Hester Ann. He was the second youngest of the nine children.-
